Stable and pest-free through heat

Wood is naturally very resistant to external influences and, when heat-treated, complies with the globally applicable import regulations according to IPPC / ISPM 15.

A significant proportion of the wooden packaging we produce undergoes heat treatment in one of our computer-controlled drying chambers. This treatment, which does not require any chemicals, kills fresh wood pests. Even if the wood becomes moist again, re-infestation is ruled out. In addition, chamber drying (Kiln dry) improves the statics and ensures there is no mold. The pallets and wooden packaging treated in this way are provided with the official certification number and can be reused or recycled without any consequences that are harmful to the environment or health.

Certified and monitored

Our modern drying chambers are supervised by the ADD (Rhineland-Palatinate Supervision and Services Directorate) and are inspected once a year.
